Server Centre & SmarterTools Partner On New Web Hosting Software

Server Centre Ltd, a provider of shared, reseller, virtual private servers (VPS) and dedicated Web hosting, is proud to announce a partnership with SmarterTools Inc. to provide a new line of Web hosting software for its Windows dedicated server & VPS customers.

The software includes SmarterMail 6.x, a cost-effective Windows mail server; SmarterStats 4.x, a robust and comprehensive Web log analytics tool; and SmarterTrack 4.x, a complete customer service software solution. This bundle of three applications is valued at approximately $750 and will be included with every Windows dedicated server and Virtual Private Server at no extra cost.

Planned Maintenance affecting Internet Transit – 13/09/09

Node4 Engineers will be performing core equipment upgrades in the Derby Data Centre on the morning of Sunday 13th September June between 4am and 7.30am. During this time there will be disruption to internet transit.

Further Information as follows:

This work will only affect internet transit (internet access), or those services which use internet transit (i.e. SIPLink). During the maintenance window we expect several short periods (estimated as less than 5 minutes) where internet transit to some destinations will be interrupted. This maintenance work is required to upgrade one of the core BGP routers in Derby, during this work Internet traffic will automatically re-route via other routers/paths.

Core Network Planned Maintenance 27/08/09 Midnight -1am Affecting Internet Transit

Reason:
Reconfiguration of Internet Transit BGP Peering Sessions

Expected Downtime:
BGP Sessions will be restarted during this maintenance window, therefore customers may experience some minor disruption to Internet Transit while traffic is re-routed. However, due to the nature of this work we would consider the service to be AT RISK during this time period.

Access to Control Panel – Restored

Problems with our Control Panel system have now been resolved. The problems affected customers on Windows hosted packages. All clients now have restored access to the Control Panel.

Planned System Maintainence – Friday 03/07/2009 10.30pm

Scheduled date and time: July 3th, 2008 10:30PM – 01:00AM GMT

Maintenance Duration: up to 30 in per service

System(s) Affected: All Web, Exchange Services, Control Panel, Blackberry, SharePoint

Expected Impact: Working with Dell  we have identified a faulty software driver that poses a high risk of causing down time for customers. To prevent this during the maintenance window tonight we will be updating all affected servers. This will result in short down times for each individual server of not more than 30 minutes each. You will see different services down at different times during the maintenance window. No data will be lost and all incoming mail will be queued until the maintenance is complete.

Engineers will be performing core equipment upgrades on the Derby Data Centre on the morning of Sunday 21st June between 5am and 7.30am. During this time internet transit will experience some disruption for certain routes.
