Like Server Centre Platform hosting, Server Centre Private platforms utilises VMware vSphere running on powerful Dell PowerEdge Servers to deliver cost-effective, scalable and reliable Cloud Computing. With Server Centre Private Clouds, you are free to run whatever software you want and control the Virtual Machines running within your Cloud. With Server Centre Private Clouds, you can run any Guest Operating System that runs under VMware ESX, including all Windows versions, all Linux distributions, Solaris, FreeBSD and many others. All Private Clouds connect to our fault-tolerant Cisco Gigabit network to deliver exceptional performance with a 100% Network Uptime Guarantee.

 

Server Centre offers two platform options:

 

Starter Private Clouds (Low Cost ) and Enterprise Private Clouds (Fault-Tolerant)

 

Starter Private Clouds: High Performance / Low Cost

Server Centre Starter Private Clouds deliver low-cost VMware Virtual Machines running on high-performance, standalone Dell PowerEdge servers. You are free to run whatever server configurations and software you want on your Starter Private Cloud environments. You can provide your own VMware images (VMDK file), run off-the-shelf appliances from VMware's Partner Catalog, or Server Centre can install and support Windows Server 2003/2008 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Version 4 or 5).

 

You can run any Dell PowerEdge server platform that Server Centre supports, and you can add more capacity in terms of processors, memory, and disk space as needed.

 

Enteprise Private Clouds: High Performance / High Availability

Server Centre Enterprise Cloud is designed for Software as a Service Hosting (SaaS Hosting),
and other business-critical hosting environments where uptime is critical.

Run on VMware ESX Enterprise, including VMware HA (High Availability) & VMware VMotion utilising clustered Dell PowerEdge servers connected to a high-performance iSCSI Storage Area Network, where all Virtual Machines and their data reside. If any server fails, all virtual machines running on a failed server automatically restart on another server within the cluster - with no changes required to your applications or software!

 

Like Server Centre Starter Private Clouds, you are free to run whatever software you want as long as your Operating System can run VMware Tools. So you can provide your own VMware images (VMDK file), run off-the-shelf appliances from VMware's Partner Catalog, or Server Centre can install and support Windows Server 2003/2008 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4/ 5 for you.

 

You can run any Dell PowerEdge server platform that Server Centre supports, and you can add more capacity in terms of processors, memory, and Storage Area Network (SAN) disk space as needed.

Software Supported

You are free to provide your own VMware image (VMDK file) in order to run and install any software you want within your Silver Private Clouds or Gold Private Clouds. To provide your own VMDK file within our Gold Private Cloud offering, your O/S inside your VMDK file must support VMware Tools and have it installed within your VMDK file. Or if you are looking for a fully supported software environment, Server Centre can setup and support both Starter Private Cloud and Enterprise Private
