What is a Virtual Machine?

Our state of the art VMware Platform allows us to divide a single powerful server into many smaller Virtual Machines (VMs) each with its own dedicated resources. Although several Virtual Machines may exist on one physical server, they are as secure as if they were separate machines on the same network, and the resources are partitioned in such a way that one Virtual Machine's activities cannot negatively affect the others.

Why use a Virtual Machine?

As most ISPs and Web professionals know, web site or email hosting is in fact a very low intensity activity for a server - that is why many cheap web hosting providers are able to squeeze thousands of sites onto one physical machine.
